This workshop will help you understand your own body, as well as how to communicate that information to others in fun and practical ways. The skeleton will be in attendance, bones will be passed around, asanas will be investigated. Bring your questions and your body! Recommended for yoga teachers, fitness instructors, artists, performers, and yoga students of all levels.

Topics include:

• How muscles move bones
• How to open joints
• Nature of internal communication
• The architecture of asanas
• The energy force of the body

Joe Miller completed teacher training with Cyndi Lee and Jennifer Brilliant at OM Yoga in 2000 and has taught at OM since. He is currently a member of the OM Yoga Teacher Training Faculty. In addition to Cyndi, he has practiced with K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India, and, in New York, with Eddie Stern and Genny Kapuler. Joe has a longstanding interest in anatomy, sparked initially by studies of artistic anatomy. In 2004 he graduated from Leslie Kaminoff's yoga anatomy course and participated in the dissection of several cadavers. He studies Sanskrit with Manorama, and has also studied meditation in the Shambhala tradition.
