Join Brian Liem, from the world-renowned OM yoga Center in New York City, on a dynamic journey into the union between the two bodies we inhabit—our selves and our planet. Through Brian’s expert yoga instruction and his compassionate style of teaching, we can start to explore a deeper awareness of our physical selves. This exploration coupled with the appreciation for the beauty and fragility of the ecology at Morgan’s Rock can bring about an experience of wonder and oneness—the heart of OM. This yoga retreat is designed for everyone--from those with no yoga experience to more advanced practitioners.
Each day will include two OM yoga classes. The morning classes will be active and invigorating offering sun salutations, and hip and heart openers. The evening classes will be quieter, with a focus on restorative yoga and mindfulness meditation practice.
Brian is one of the most popular teachers at OM yoga center, partly because of his skill in helping every student make their practice work for them through his custom-made modifications; and, also, because he is always so loving and fun!
In your free time between classes you can explore Morgan’s Rock ecosystems, kayak through the peaceful estuaries, take a swim at the nearby secluded beach or take a nap or get a massage....ahhh...

Morgan's Rock Ecolodge
Morgan’s Rock is located near the town of San Juan del Sur, which lies just north of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, south of the colonial city of Granada and about two and a half hours from the city of Managua, (Nicaragua's capital). Morgan’s Rock Hacienda & Ecolodge is more than just a hotel or luxury resort. It is a unique and natural haven for the true traveler who is looking for a touch of luxury while enjoying the adventure and excitement of an exotic and tropical destination. But most importantly, it is a project of nature conservation, community development and reforestation offering Agro and Ecotourism at its best.
As featured in Travel + Leisure Magazine:
Morgan's Rock is a hacienda-style eco-lodge perched on a 4,447-acre private reserve in Nicaragua. The hotel has planted more than 1.5 million trees as part of its commitment to reforestation. Equally concerned about wildlife, the resort has reintroduced an almost extinct iguana species into the jungle and protects and monitors the sea turtles on its shoreline. Many of the meals served at the lodge feature food grown or farmed on the hacienda, including grains, vegetables, fruits, eggs, and dairy products. Guests go without modern conveniences, like phones and televisions; instead, the 15 quest bungalows, complete with king-size beds and private outdoor showers, face west, offering nature's form of evening entertainment.
AND chosen as one of Travel + Leisure's favorite 15 green hotels!
(the magazine worked with Conservation International to develop an assessment test to figure out which of the world's hotels have high environmental standards for water and energy conservation, waste reduction and supporting local communities).
Most guests heading to this charming jungle lodge pack hiking boots and swimsuits, anticipating the area's tropical forests and spectacular Pacific Coast beach. Many also bring Spanish-language textbooks to donate to one of five neighboring schools. Whether buying furniture (handcrafted by area artisans) or training employees (in plant identification and wildlife conservation), Morgan's Rock works in tandem with the local community. The resort also serves as a role model for the country's incipient ecotourism industry, by building a recycling plant and planting more than 1.5 million trees.
