OM Teaching Staff
Frank Mauro was introduced
to the basic principals of a Hatha practice as a young boy by his father.
In 1990, at the age of 25, Frank deepened his knowledge of yoga through
consistent practice at the Sivananda Center of New York, whereby he later
received his first teacher certification in 1998. Frank spent much of
his young adult life engaged in the arts. As a painter, Frank brings his
knowledge of composition, symmetry and creativity to his teaching. As
a certified yoga instructor, Frank studied and attended various styles
of yoga workshops throughout the East Coast and Canada. Influenced by
the well-versed and creative teachers at OM Yoga Center, Frank entered
the Heaven and Earth Teacher Training Program, graduating in 2001. Frank
is grateful to all his teachers. He combines his knowledge of artistry
with mindful awareness and flow, and especially embraces Cyndi Lee's philosophy
of transitions in asana to be just as important as the poses themselves. |
