How can we breathe with ease while maintaining a steady posture during
asana practice? We'll look at how the abdomen and chest cavity interact,
revealing how bandhas can support healthy breathing. Topics will include
the ribcage, the diaphragm and accessory muscles of respiration, the
abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor. We will also touch on the
anatomy of the lungs and airway, and some fundamentals of respiratory
physiology as they relate to asana and pranayama practice.
